ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE ASSESSMENT

What is the secret behind the success of Google or Apple? How they produce innovative products and services one after another? Is there a magic portion giving them superpowers? If there is such secret formula, can that be adopted across other organizations? The answer all the questions above is “Yes”. The secret formula is a clear vision, combined with supportive competencies hold together by a fine-tuned organizational culture.

If you manage to develop the clear vision for your market, right competencies and wrap it all up by the right culture, you will be the “Google” or “Apple” of your market blowing the competitors away. But if you failed to get the right culture, your organization will suffer from organizational politics, inefficiencies, and poor employee engagement.

This segment is not about the vision or the competencies. This segment is about understanding your organizational culture, so you can think of how you can shape it to become the best culture.

Our approach is simple, yet comprehensive. We have adopted Hofstede’s Organizational Culture Dimensions (Hofstede, 1998) to identify the shades of your organizational culture pallet.

Shades of each color you have in your organization determines the culture of your organization.
Then we went on to categorize different variations of cultures into common categories based on Chales Hardy’s Organizational Culture Framework and Organizational Culture Assessment Instrument (OCAI). Shades of each color you have in your organization determines the culture of your organization. They are
Power Culture | Traditional Culture | Task Culture | Person Culture | Group Culture | Disruptive Culture
