Understanding Process Performance

There exist many ideas on determining the process performance. Process is a collection of inter – related activities collectively arranged to fit a purpose. Therefore, in the simplest form, a capable process should consistently deliver the desired outcomes in a resource efficient manner.

After extensively analyzing the available literature and world class processes, we came up with six criteria which will determine whether your processes achieve the above. They are

• Ability to create Quality Products Consistently (Error – Proofed)
• Simplicity (Value Adding to Non – Value Adding Ratio)
• Robustness (Ability to Adopt / Flexibility)
• Degree of Awareness (How well the Key Stakeholders understand the “WHY”)
• Degree of Control (To what extent the input & output can be measured)
• Documentation (How well the process has been documented)
